Group of hooded thieves make off with $13,000 worth of iPhones from mall in New England

NATICK, Mass. — A group of seven people wearing hooded sweatshirts stole $13,000 worth of iPhones Wednesday.

Police say the group of males and females were wearing hooded sweatshirts and hats to hide their identity.

They entered the mall and headed directly to the Apple Store.

They then cut the security cords connected to the iPhones on display and made off with 19 devices.

The group fled easterly on foot and were not found by police.

The group may have committed a similar crime in Hingham a few weeks ago.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 508-647-9520 or online.
