Grantham man arrested after police chase

LEBANON - A Grantham man is under arrest after a chase with Lebanon police early Saturday morning.

According to a statement from the Lebanon Police Department, officers saw a 2013 Chevrolet 1 ton dump truck pass another vehicle over a double line.

The statement said when officers attempted to stop the vehicle, driver Gabriel Blanche, 20, of Grantham, sped away.

Police pursued the truck, which went around a corner, rolled on its side and hit the front of a residence on School Street. There was "significant damage" to the front of the home, but no one inside was injured.

According to police, the dump truck was allegedly stolen from a Grantham home.

Blanche was was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries and released into police custody.

Blanche is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, reckless conduct, subsequent driving while intoxicated, disobeying an officer and driving after suspension. Blanche’s bail was set at $100,000.00 cash and he was transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections.
