Grand jury returns indictments for 2 NH men accused of rape and arson


BRENTWOOD - A man accused of rape and another accused of arson are among those indicted by a Rockingham County grand jury in February.

Justin Kane is accused of setting a fire at his mother's Salem house while she was still inside back in December. Kane faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Twenty-five-year-old Adam Kumis, of Raymond, is accused of giving a 13-year-old girl alcohol and then having sex with her in 2014. He has been indicted on multiple charges including aggravated felonious sexual assault. The most serious of his charges carries up to 20 years in prison.

Both Kane and Kumis are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 26.
