Grand jury indicts man blamed for stand-off that paralyzed a Laconia neighborhood for hours

LACONIA - A man blamed for a standoff with police that shut down a neighborhood for several hours back in October has been indicted by a grand jury on multiple charges.

Robert Audette, 26, of 398 Elm St. in Laconia, was arrested after police tracked him down in Manchester last month.

A grand jury indicted him on two charges of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and with being a felon in possession of a danger weapon.

Audette allegedly threatened two people with a shot gun at a Jewett Street apartment building, leading police to evacuate the building and call in a SWAT team. The shot gun was found but Audette was missing.
