Grand jury indicts Kingston man accused of killing passenger in crash


LACONIA - A Kingston man has been indicted by a grand jury for a deadly crash.

Ryan Mears is accused of killing passenger Tiffany Nieves, of Laconia, in November as well as injuring another passenger, Jeremy King.

Police said Mears was drunk when he was driving on Parade Road before crossing the southbound lane and hitting a tree.

Mears is facing three counts of negligent homicide, as well as charges of second-degree assault, manslaughter and possession of a controlled drug.
