Graham, McCain hit campaign trail in New Hampshire

The Associated Press

CONCORD — Two-time New Hampshire primary winner John McCain is returning to the state this weekend campaign alongside South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham.

McCain and Graham were to campaign in Littleton, Manchester and Bedford on Saturday. In Manchester, they were to participate in a town hall meeting, a campaign event popularized by McCain in 1999 when he held more than 100 in New Hampshire.

McCain also won the 2008 Republican primary and later the nomination.

McCain told the Associated Press he thinks voters will respond well to Graham because he'll give them real answers with a bit of humor.

Graham is seen as a longshot in the crowded Republican field. Graham, McCain and N.H. Sen. Kelly Ayotte often work together in Congress.
