Governor Hassan Thanks Power Crews

MANCHESTER - Governor Maggie Hassan thanked line-workers Monday morning from Hydro Quebec at a breakfast at Manchester Community College.

She also thanked the hard-working crews from PSNH and Unitil.

"[They] kept their crews afternoon and night, didn't release them and we were welcoming new crews in at noon on thanksgiving from other parts of the country," said Hassan.

Among them, 62-year-old line-worker Daniel Casaubon, who had to leave his family in Quebec for days. He said he came to the Granite State and learned what the American Thanksgiving was truly all about.

"They brought hot coffee and others brought chocolate donuts. Generally when we come to the United States we are well received," said Casaubon.

"I was broken, sometimes we only have one sleeve to do one wire to repair and we are able to give power to maybe 50 homes," said Casaubon after meeting so many New Hampshire families.

Casaubon has since returned to Canada but told NH1 News that he'd be back if the people of New Hampshire should ever need him again.
