Gov. Hassan calls Baton Rouge attack 'heinous,' thanks NH law enforcement for service

CONCORD — Gov. Maggie Hassan released a statement in response to the three police officers that were killed - and the three wounded - in Baton Rouge Sunday morning.

“An attack against members of law enforcement is an attack against the very fabric of our society,” Hassan stated. “I join all Granite Staters, and all Americans, in praying for the swift recovery of the Baton Rouge police officers who were wounded and in mourning the devastating loss of those were murdered.”

Hassan continued, “The heinous attack on members of law enforcement in Baton Rouge is also a tragic reminder of the danger that all of our brave law enforcement officers face to keep our families and communities safe. To the extraordinary members of New Hampshire’s law enforcement communities, words cannot truly express our profound gratitude for your service and selfless sacrifice each and every day.”
