Goodwill Good Samaritan in Portsmouth finds $600 in donated wallet, returns it to widow

PORTSMOUTH - An employee of the Portsmouth Goodwill found a big surprise in a wallet on sale for $4.

Inside a wallet, Marissa Jenness found $600 while she was working in the store alone.

According to Seacoast Online, Jenness said she didn't feel comfortable keeping the money, so she enlisted the police department's help to try and find the owner.

Turns out, the wallet was donated with some clothes by Kathy Brickley, a woman whose husband has recently passed away.

The police were able to discover Brickley's identity using some dried ink left on the plastic casing.

Jenness was able to return the money to a grateful Brickley.
