Good showing for small Portsmouth Veterans Day parade
PORTSMOUTH- Portsmouth has a large population of retired veterans. The city puts on a small parade every year for Veterans Day, but it's always well attended.
Residents and veterans lined the streets and marched alongside the parade. The Portsmouth High School marching band provided the music. The route ends at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at Goodwin Park where families gathered for a ceremony to honor those who serve and have served.
The ceremony wrapped up with a wreath laying at the monument.
