Gonic man faces 1st-degree assault connected to baby with broken clavicle


ROCHESTER — A Gonic man has been charged with first-degree assault in connection to a broken clavicle a 4-month-old sustained back on Tuesday, July 12.

Police said 23-year-old Ryan Hughes turned himself in Friday after being notified of the warrant for his arrest.

The charges were filed after Rochester police assisted the NH Division of Children and Families in investigating the infant’s injuries.

Hughes was released on $10,000 personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned at the Strafford County Superior Court on Aug. 10.
