GoFundMe page set up to raise money for Littleton murder victim's funeral expenses
LITTLETON - A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for a man gunned down over the weekend.
Robert Pierog, 22, was shot and killed outside his apartment Friday night. Two men have been charged in connection with his death.
The "Robby's Funeral" page has raised just under $1,000 since it was established on the crowdsourcing site.
"A daughter lost her father, a wife lost her husband, and a mother lost her son. Robert Pierog was shot by 3 heartless individuals," the site states. "During this time, his daughter must continue on and wake up everyday knowing daddy is no longer around and wonder why it had to happen to him. His wife must continue working to support his once so perfect family."
The Attorney General's office announced Monday the arrest of two men in connection with Pierog's death. Damion Yeargle, 21, of Littleton, has been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly shooting Pierog multiple times. Quade Kadle, 18, of Jefferson, was charged with being an accomplice to first-degree murder.
Pierog was pronounced dead on the scene when authorities arrived shortly after 10:30 p.m. that night.
Assistant Attorney General Geoff Ward told the paper that the investigation is ongoing.
