Goffstown youth soccer league shed literally melts, $3,500 worth of equipment lost after fire

GOFFSTOWN – A youth soccer league lost a shed and $3,500 worth of equipment after a fire at Sarette Field Friday night.

Tri-Town Travel Soccer used the storage shed to hold fall and spring season equipment belonging to 10 teams and 150 players between the ages of 6 and 13.

New soccer balls, medical supplies, nets, field equipment, players’ bags and field paint were just some of the objects that were destroyed in the fire.

Tri-Town Travel, a volunteer-run program, is welcoming any support from community members to restore the equipment for the young players.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and under investigation.
