Goffstown, NH, police looking for information on explosions

GOFFSTOWN - Police are investigating five incidents involving explosive devices.

The first was at 9:21 p.m. near 106 Gorham Pond Road. The device was inside a recycling bin, which caught fire, police said.

While police were at that scene, a second explosion occurred at the corner of Gorham Pond and Parker Station Roads. It also destroyed a recycling bin, police said.

In a third incident on Leech Hill Road, the device destroyed a mailbox, police said.

On Wednesday, police reported there was a fourth explosion in a mailbox on Snook Road on Tuesday night. That one did not result in a fire.

Police said they also found a fifth device Wednesday on Parker Road that was made out of an energy drink can. That one had not exploded.

Dunbarton also had one report of a similar incident on Jay Drive.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking people to use caution and alert them to any suspicious activity in the neighborhoods. They have also alerted the recycling and trash truck drivers, who are town employees.

Anyone with information, can call police at 603-497-4858.
