Goffstown man accused of shooting younger brother in head released on bail
GOFFSTOWN - A man who allegedly shot his younger brother by accident was released on bail Wednesday.
Timothy Beard, 23, of Goffstown waived his right to have a probably cause hearing. He was released on $2,000 bail Wednesday.
“Though this is a tragic accident, we as a family, will never waiver in our unconditional love and support for both Christian and Timothy,” the Beard family said in a statement released after the hearing according to the Union Leader. “Our family was and still is, grounded in respect, love and compassion for one another.
Beard waived his PC hearing and was set free on bail on Tuesday. He faces felony second-degree assault and reckless conduct charges. He told police he was playing video games, and drinking beer and vodka before he accidentally shot his younger brother in the head just before 10 p.m. on April 9 in his Prospect Street Apartment.
