Go Fund Me page for North Hampton officer's family reaches more than $60,000 in 8 days


NORTH HAMPTON – A Go Fund Me account set up for the family of the North Hampton police officer who died unexpectedly last week, has reached more than $60,000.

The account set up for Cormier’s wife, Shelby and his 17-month-old twin children, Logan and Brooklyn was set up just eight days ago.

The fund surpassed its half-way mark to its $100,000 goal after just 6 days.

Peter Cormier died of an apparent heart attack last week while he was off-duty.

The 46-year-old had worked for the North Hampton Police Department for nearly two decades and as a sniper on “SERT,” the Seacoast SWAT team.

Cormier also served in the U.S. Army and the NH Air National Guard for 22 years.
