Gilford's Allie Nault crowned Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2016
GILFORD - New Hampshire native Allie Nault, 17 of Gilford, was crowned Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2016 Saturday night in Orlando Florida.
According to the Examiner, Nault’s pageant focus was “Making $ense – Becoming Financially Responsible.”
Nault took the crown after blowing away the competition in the categories of interview, evening gown and sportswear. She also showed off her talent of baton twirling and dancing at the competition.
Nault won the Miss New Hampshire Outstanding Teen crown and February and moved on to the national competition in Florida.
In New Hampshire, Nault volunteered at New Horizons Soup Kitchen, the Derry Caregivers, the Gilford Youth Center, the Special Olympics and more to earn over 1,200 hours of community service.
The Outstanding Teen competition is part of the Miss America organization that honors girls between the ages 13-17 and offer scholarships for the winners.
