Gilford High School business, shop students collaborate to present flags to veterans

GILFORD — High school students presented flags at the New Hampshire Veterans Home on Friday.

The flags will be presented to residents that were made in a special joint project at the school this year. The triangular wood cases - built by students - are the type used to hold a ceremonially folded flag at funerals and other special ceremonies for veterans.

A business class raised the funds for the materials, and the boxes were built by the shop students.
