Geologist appointed president of Mount Washington Observatory

NORTH CONWAY, (AP) — Brian Fowler, a geologist, has been appointed president of the Mount Washington Observatory.

Fowler, of Madison, a life trustee and past president of the observatory's Board of Trustees, succeeds Scot Henley, who left last year.

The position has been temporarily filled by Ed Bergeron, interim executive.

Fowler starts work this month.
