General Motors recalls millions of 2015 models due to defective airbags


CONCORD - Millions of vehicles have been recalled due to the Takata airbag defect recall.

According to USA Today, General Motors is recalling certain 2015 models that have front-mounted side impact airbags. The defective air bags could rupture when deployed and cause injury or death.

The recalled models include: Buick LaCross, Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet Camaro, Equinox, Malibu, and GMC Terrain.

Vehicle owners will begin to get notification on Monday. However, owners can also visit SaferCar.gov for more information on all the recall specifications.
