Gas prices back on the rise in NH, northern New England

CONCORD (AP) — As the summer driving season comes to an end, gas prices have been on the rise, including in northern New England.

GasBuddy shows the biggest rise is in Maine, where the average retail price is $2.22 a gallon, up 3.7 cents from last week.

The average price per gallon in New Hampshire has gone up 3.6 cents to $2.14. In Vermont, the price went up 2.4 cents, to $2.22.

The national average of $2.21 has risen 3.4 cents per gallon in the last week. It stands 28 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
