Fun Memorial Day activities for the whole family across NH
Don't have any plans this weekends? It's supposed to be a great day outside!

A chicken BBQ will be served at the Bow Community Building on 2 Bow Center Road from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. For $12, you get to eat half a chicken, potato salad, corn on the cob, a roll, water, iced tea and lemonade. There will be ice cream for dessert.
There will be a wreath ceremony in honor of fallen members of the Coast Guard, Navy, and Merchant Marines at 5 p.m. near the Bow Town Pond.
Veterans, military personnel, and their spouses will be offered $10 trips on M/S Mount Washington on Lake Winnipesaukee Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Children under the age of 12 ride for free. The offer is good all day from any port. The regular rate is $30.
The Mills Falls Marketplace in Meredith will host the 24th annual Memorial Weekend craft festival on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Each day, the will event will begin at 10 a.m. It will conclude Saturday at 6 p.m. Sunday at 5 p.m. and Monday at 4 p.m. Over 100 craftsmen and craftswomen from across New England will display works of fine jewelry, scarves, tapestries, photography, woodwork, pottery, handmade soap, folk art, calligraphy and a variety of food. The proceeds from food sales go to the Lakes Region Altrusa Club.
Runner’s Alley/Redhook Memorial 5k Road Race
There will be a 5k race supported by the Access to Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics will begin on Sunday at the Redook Brewery on 35 Corporate Drive in Portsmouth at 11 a.m. There will be a Kid’s Fun Run at 10:15 a.m. The proceeds go to the Krempels Center in Portsmouth.
There will be prizes for runners and attendees, a post-race feast, live music, and opportunities to get one free Redhook beer. VIPs can spend $100 for a goody bag, preferred parking, beer tasting, and more.
Veterans ride the Hobo Railroad free
Military veterans will receive a complimentary ticket for a round trip ride on a restored vintage coach in Lincoln.
