Fugitive on the run for weeks finally captured during traffic stop in Tilton

TILTON— A man wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant on charges of obstructing governmental operations and reckless conduct has been captured, Monday afternoon.

These charges were brought as a result of an incident on Oct. 28th in Belmont, in which 24-year-old, Hayden Moon is alleged to have fled from a traffic stop and dragged the Belmont Officer as he fled.

Monday afternoon, Tilton Police conducted a traffic stop on a car, during the stop, one of the occupants of the vehicle was arrested for being in possession of narcotics.

During the booking process, it was determined that the name that was initially provided was false and that the man in custody was Moon, a “Fugitive of the Week”.

Moon was transported to the Belknap County Jail for holding pending his initial court appearance.
