Frozen chicken nugget meals recalled for possible salmonella contamination in brownie


A recall has been issued for a frozen chicken nugget meal because the brownie dessert could be contaminated with salmonella.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall on Thursday.

The meals are 7.4 oz. vacuum-packed trays containing “BANQUET Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese” with Code 3100080921 and a “BEST IF USED BY” date of July 20, 2018.

They include breaded chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese and a chocolate brownie. They were made by Conagra Brands Inc. on Jan. 26. Conagra was told by a supplier that the brownies could be contaminated with salmonella.

The boxes have FSIS establishment number "P-9" printed on the on the side.

The frozen meals were shipped to retail stores nationwide.

There have been no reports of anyone becoming sick from consuming the meals.
