Former NH state rep. facing charges for possible riot involvement
MANCHESTER - A former state representative accused of driving his son to the scene of a fight has been indicted by a grand jury.
Hector Velez Sr. faces two riot charges for the March baseball bat brawl involving his 19-year-old son Hector Velez Jr.
Velez Jr. was sentenced in December and will spend up five years in prison.
Velez Jr. is reportedly a member of the 180 gang and was "settling a dispute" with a member of a rival gang o-t-l.
Velez Sr. faces up to 3 1/2 to four years in prison for each of the riot charges.
