Well-known Nashua business woman and former state representative Angeline A. Kopka passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, Oct. 28.
Kopka was a graduate of Nashua High School's class of 1933 and the former Nashua Business College. Kopka was the wife of the late John S. Kopka, Jr., a former staple in the Nashua community.
“Having served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives for five terms, Angie Kopka embodied the spirit of civic engagement that we are known for in the Granite State, exemplifying strength and perseverance throughout her entire time in the State House," said Gov. Maggie Hassan. "Through her work with various community organizations, including the Nashua Center, she helped build on our state’s long history of inclusiveness, further representing her legacy of service to others that will endure and serve as an example for generations to come. Tom and I join Angie’s family, loved ones, the greater Nashua community and people across the state in mourning her loss.”
Calling hours will be held at the Farewell Funeral Home at 18 Lock Street on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Her funeral will be held in St. Patrick's Church at 29 Spring Street on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church.
