Former executive from NH scheduled for plea hearing in fatal crash

The Associated Press

NORTH HAVERHILL - A plea hearing has been scheduled for a New Hampshire man accused of causing a crash that killed a pregnant Vermont woman and her fiance in December 2013.

Robert Dellinger, of Sunapee, is charged with second-degree murder in the deaths of 24-year-old Amanda Murphy and 29-year-old Jason Timmons, of Wilder, Vt., and with second-degree assault in the death of the fetus. He had pleaded not guilty last year.

Police have said the 54-year-old Dellinger, a former Fortune 500 executive, was despondent and trying to kill himself when his pickup truck collided head-on with the couple's SUV on Interstate 89 in Lebanon. Dellinger suffered cuts and bruises.

The plea hearing has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday at Grafton County Superior Court.
