Former Dover hospital employee on trial for allegedly groping female patient
DOVER - A jury trial starts today for a former Wentworth-Douglass Hospital employee who allegedly groped a female patient for sexual gratification while she was admitted to the facility.
Brendan Higgins, who was a 41-year-old computer tomography technician at the time, later admitted to police that touching the woman "wasn't" a mistake.
His attorney, David Bobrow, later argued that police violated his Miranda rights during that interview, which took place at Higgins' home.
The incident in question happened on Sept. 15, 2013.
Higgins was immediately suspended and then fired from the hospital.
