Forklift falls onto home in Keene

KEENE - A forklift fell onto a house at 50 Belmont Ave. in Keene Monday, according to the Keene Sentinel.

The paper reported that the incident happened at about 3 p.m. but caused no structural damage to the building.

Deputy Keene Fire Chief Ron Leslie told The Keene Sentinel that Bergeron Construction was lifting shingles onto the roof, did not put the front pads down on the forklift, and it tipped into the house.

The paper reported that the house is owned by Jan Manwaring, who is also a Keene city councilor.
