Flu-related deaths in the state increase to 16 this season


There have been five more flu-related deaths reported in New Hampshire in the past week, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.

Those deaths bring the total number in New Hampshire during this flu season to 16.

All of the cases have been adults and they were reported in six counties - three in Cheshire, two in Grafton, two in Hillsborough, one in Merrimack, seven in Rockingham and one in Strafford.

No pediatric flu-related deaths have been identified in New Hampshire this flu season.
