Flights delayed, canceled in Manchester due to snow
MANCHESTER- Slippery, snow covered roads were difficult to navigate in Manchester Monday. Drivers like Ashish Sharma had a hard time getting around.
"The city plows are doing a good job, but there's a lot of snow and there's not a lot of places to put it all," Sharma said.
Jeff Plant braved the elements to head to the grocery store.
"The highways are pretty good actually, I know they're trying to keep up with it the best they can with all the traffic and everything else going on," Plant said.
For those like Kaylee Barnes who wanted to travel by air, getting to the airport was the first obstacle of the day.
"The was very little visibility, snow everywhere. Some of the roads were still really covered," Barnes said.
Many arrived at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport to find their flight was delayed and in many places canceled.
"They have us rescheduled for a second flight out we have a layover, when we did have a nonstop flight," Barnes said.
Airport crews worked through the day to keep runways, walkways, and parking lots clear. Some were lucky to arrive or fly out with no problems.
Some Tuesday morning flights were already cancelled by Monday afternoon. Anyone with a scheduled flight should check in with their airline before heading to the airport.
