Five people arrested at sobriety checkpoint on Route 102

LONDONDERRY – Five people were arrested this past weekend after State Troopers set up a sobriety checkpoint on Route 102.

According to the State Police, 265 cars were stopped between during the evening hours of Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27. The charges included driving while intoxicated, operating after suspension and possession of a controlled drug.

This is one of many sobriety checkpoints the NH State Police have conducted. Last weekend, 9 people were arrested on Route 104.

John Ramirez age 20 of Manchester, New Hampshire was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol, open container, and possession of a controlled drug.

William McCarthy age 44 of Derry, New Hampshire was arrested for Operating after suspension.

Derek Schlieff age 40 of Andover, Massachusetts was arrested for DWI.

Jose Cruze age 35 of Methuen, Massachusetts was arrested for DWI.

Mark Proia age 25 of Lawrence, Massachusetts was arrested for DWI.
