CONCORD — A program created to restore and sustain healthy forests and rivers throughout New England is seeking proposals for its next round of funding.

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's New England Forests and Rivers Fund was created in 2015 with seed money from Eversource. In its first year, it awarded 13 grants totaling $1.2 million.

In New Hampshire, the grants went to projects in the White Mountains, Connecticut River Valley and the Seacoast.

The fund expects to award $1.9 million this year. Proposals are due May 19.
