First on NH1 News: Trump to hold rally Monday in NH
CONCORD – Donald Trump will cap his visit Monday to the Granite State by holding a rally at Great Bay Community College in Portsmouth, NH1 News learned on Thursday.
The presumptive Republican nominee’s trip next week to New Hampshire is his first since February 9, when he won the GOP contest in the state’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary.
Trump will kick off his visit with a 2:30pm speech at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College in Goffstown. His campaign is touting the event as an address critical of Democratic presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton. Trump’s campaign tells NH1 News the candidate may also hold a news conference following the speech.
In the late afternoon Trump will be in Rye to attend a fundraiser hosted by Bill Binnie. He’s the president of the NH1 News Network. Binnie’s also a longtime Republican who ran for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire in 2010, and also served as treasurer of the state GOP. Binnie’s fundraising activities are personal in nature and do not carry the endorsement of NH1 News.
Later, Trump makes the short trip to Great Bay Community College for the 6pm rally.
New Hampshire is considered one of about 10 crucial battleground states across the country in the presidential general election.
