CLEVELAND – John Kasich says he’s coming back to the Granite State.

The Ohio governor and 2016 Republican presidential candidate, who came in a strong second in New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary, made some news as he addressed the Granite State’s delegation to the GOP convention on Wednesday.

“I’m coming back. I’m coming back to help Kelly,” Kasich said, referring to Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte, who’s facing a difficult re-election against Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan.

NH1 News was first to report Kasich’s comments on social media.

Later, Kasich, in his best Arnold Schwarzenegger imitation, said “to the people of New Hampshire, I’ll be back.”

During the presidential primaries, Kasich often broke into his Schwarzenegger imitation. The former California governor and movie star is friendly with Kasich and endorsed his presidential bid.

Kasich has not endorsed GOP nominee Donald Trump. And even though the Republican convention is taking place in his state, Kasich is not taking part in the convention, which has the Trump campaign extremely upset.
