MANCHESTER – John Kasich’s New Hampshire campaign headquarters is up and running.
NH1 News was the first media organization to tour the Republican governor of Ohio’s facility, which is located right off of I-293 at 225 Eddy Road on the west side of the Granite State’s largest city.
State Director Simon Thomson says the staff starting using the offices about three weeks ago.
“We like this space, it has fireplaces, it has a real New England feel to it,” Thomson told NH1 News. “It’s right off the highway, lots of free parking, and right next to Dunkin Donuts.”
Kasich will attend a grand opening of the office scheduled for Friday at 5:30pm.
Thomson says there are now seven full time employees on Kasich’s New Hampshire team, which makes it one of the larger Republican presidential campaign staffs right now.
The building is owned by Louis Georgopoulos, a Republican who served three terms on the Executive Council from 1981-1987.
While Kasich is believed to be the presidential candidate to set up shop in the facility, the building was used as the campaign headquarters for Maggie Hassan’s successful 2012 run for governor.
