A low tracking SE of New England and a low tracking NW of the region will help to provide a wintry mix of precipitation to New Hampshire Saturday with snow in the mountains, and icy mix across the interior, and a mix to rain for southern New Hampshire. The heaviest precipitation will fall during the morning with the storm pulling away Saturday afternoon, but snow showers may linger.
We will be watching a snow/rain line advancing north thanks to warmer air moving in aloft. Snow will be changing to sleet, ice and eventually to rain. The mixing and rain will help to keep accumulations down for many locations. A deeper cold across the north country will make for some localized heavy snow in ski country! If the cold holds on stronger, there is a possibility for some heavier snow totals to in more southern locations. Stay tuned to the forecast for any future changes.
Rain will be ending at Foxboro. The tailgate will start off with a little rain in the morning, and remain damp into the afternoon. Dry, cloudy conditions are expected at kickoff with temperatures near 40. Cooling temps as clouds begin to break and clear during the game into the 30's.
