FIRST ALERT WEATHER WARNING: Accumulating snow over, NH roads should improve by midday

NH1 Chief Meteorologist

We are waking up to a nice coating of snow across the Granite State with widespread amounts of 2-3" being reported in many spots.

This is enough to make for a slippery start, especially on secondary roads. As we look ahead, snow will be tapering off the morning and mostly over by lunch time.

The accumulating snow is over. The afternoon will even see some breaking sunshine.

I expect to see roads quickly improving by midday, but will will still have to watch for icy spots!

Winds picking up from the west, behind a departing low which helped to deliver the morning snowfall.

These winds will be tapping into colder air being directed into New England. Expect a colder day with highs only in the lwr-mid 20's!
