Firefighters rescue Hudson dog who falls through ice at Robinson Pond

HUDSON - A Golden Retriever who fell through the ice at Robinson Pond was rescued by firefighters on Tuesday.

The department was called to the pond where they found "Murphy" through the ice up to his front legs. Firefighters donned ice rescue suits but broke through the thin ice as they ventured out toward the dog.

Ultimately, the dog was successfully brought back to shore where the town's Animal Control Officer warmed the dog with blankets and returned Murphy to his owner.
