Firefighters investigating Stratham Tire warehouse fire in Laconia

LACONIA - Almost 24 hours after a fire started at the Stratham Tire warehouse in Laconia, firefighters are still trying to determine the cause and the business is looking to pick up the pieces and move on.

Firefighters were back on scene Friday morning investigating. Dave Harper is the manager of the business. He says when he first arrived Thursday night there wasn't much of a fire, but then suddenly flames started shooting through the roof. He says it was devastating to see but they're looking to rebuild the warehouse and move on.

"We'll figure it out. The insurance company has been in there today and they'll start the process and at that point we'll just move forward and do what we do. Our biggest concern right now is we need our storage facilities," Harper said.

Firefighters believe the fire started somewhere toward the back of the warehouse near a chimney but they don't know how it started.

At least 250 tires are still inside, Harper isn't sure how many were able to be saved.
