Firefighters battle 2-alarm fire in Franklin, officials call it 'suspicious'

FRANKLIN - A fire broke out at 36 School Street Wednesday night, and officials said it's "suspicious."

The fire started at about 7 p.m., but firefighters aren't sure where it started.

It shot through the first and second floors up to the roof.

Neighbors said there was someone who lived on the second floor and a family who lives on the first floor, but everyone made it out safely, according to officials.

The fire marshal as well as the sheriffs office and Franklin police are on scene investigating.
