Firefighter in ICU, 4 injured after 2-alarm fire in Manchester


MANCHESTER - An early morning two-alarm fire on Walnut St. is currently under control but not before causing serious injury.

UPDATE: Injured woman and firefighter identified in Manchester fire

District Fire Chief Henry Martineau said 3 firefighters were transported to the hospital with injuries. Two have been released, but one is in the intensive care unit at Elliot Hospital.

A woman in the home had to be rescued from a second floor porch and was brought to the hospital.

Martineau said he did not know the extent of her injuries.

The fire appears to be accidental and more information is expected to be released soon.
