Fire victim at shelter in Keene identified

The Associated Press

KEENE - Authorities have identified a man has been found dead after a fire at a makeshift shelter in Keene.

Police and firefighters responded to a wooded area Wednesday morning where they say a fire at a makeshift shelter had already been extinguished.

Authorities found the body of 46-year-old Russell Holden inside.

The State Medical Examiner has ruled the cause of death was due to smoke inhalation and the manner of death was accidental.

Investigators believe the fire started in a burn barrel and spread to the rest of the shelter.
