Fire starts inside of Merrimack home, cause remains under investigation

MERRIMACK - The Merrimack fire department and several other departments responded to a house fire early Tuesday afternoon.

The flames broke out at a house on 141 Bedford Road.

Merrimack Fire Chief Michael Currier told NH1 News that flames were coming out of the chimney area when crews arrived.

The home owner was home at the time and called 9-1-1, saying he smelled smoke.

No one was injured.

The cause of this fire still remains under investigation.
