Fire officials rule massive 3-alarm blaze suspicious in Goffstown

GOFFSTOWN - A massive three- alarm fire in a commercial building in Goffstown last night, is being called suspicious after the building was ruled vacant and all utilities had been shut off for weeks.

Due to the sheer size of the fire Goffstown firefighters returned to the scene early Monday morning to put out any remaining hot spots.

One woman said she lives two blocks away and evacuated her home because she was afraid the fire would spread.

"We just saw the fire billowing behind here and it was going up so high and ash started to fall," witness Nicole Lang said. "It could have easily spread and this building is damaged you just don't want to get stuck if everyone did try to leave."

With more than 60 first responders battling the blaze Sunday night, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
