ALSTEAD — Firefighters are calling a 31-acre brush fire suspicious after it was found burning Saturday afternoon.
The 4-alarm fire was described to have been spreading quickly due to the state's recent dry and windy weather conditions. The fire was so large over the weekend, that firefighters were also called in from Vermont to help put out the flames.
As of Monday, officials said that ground hot spots were still smoldering. The fire remains under investigation.
