Fire officals on scene of Merrimack gas leak, school buses and commute could be delayed

MERRIMACK — A gas leak on Pearson Road in Merrimack will slightly delay two bus routes but children will be able to get home safely.

The Merrimack School district said one bus from Reeds Ferry Elementary School and another from James Mastricola Upper Elementary School would be delayed because of the leak.

The road closure is from Lyons Road to Paige Road and officials said just after 2:30 that the road would be closed for about an hour. Drivers should seek alternate routes during that time.

Merrimack Fire and Rescue is on the scene.
