Fire in apartment building in Dover forces early morning evacuation

DOVER - Residents of an apartment building on Adelle Drive were forced to evacuate early Friday morning after fire broke out and spread to the roof.

According to Fosters Daily Democrat, the fire was reported around 1:15 a.m. at 87 Adelle Drive. They arrived to find heavy smoke on the second floor that had extended to the attic, forcing them to open up the roof to reach the fire.

No immediate information was available about injuries or the extent of the damage.
