Fire breaks out at NH paper shredding business


HUDSON — An investigation is being conducted after a small fire occurred at a local paper shredding company.

Hudson Fire Department responded to Shred-It at 1 Wall St. on Wednesday around 6 p.m. after alarms went off and 911 was called.

Upon arrival, crews found the fire suppression system operating and any visible flames were put out.

There was smoke, water and heat damage to the shredder and baling unit.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians and the occupants of the building had evacuated themselves before Hudson fire arrived.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
