Fire at Rochester, NH, home kills dog

ROCHESTER - A fire on Sunday evening killed a dog and left a home temporarily uninhabitable.

Fire crews responded to 15 Pleasant St. around 8:17 p.m. Sunday to find fire in a second-floor bedroom of the building.

Crews had the fire knocked down in about 10 minutes and were able to keep it contained to the bedroom.

Fire officials said there were no working smoke detectors or carbon monixide detectors in the home at the time.

Crews from Milton, Barrington and Farmington assisted on the scene.

No injuries besides the dog were reported.
